Christmas 2009
Similar to last year, I put together a little photo collage to serve as our Christmas card this year. (Google’s Picasa makes this super easy.) All parts of the collage were pictures that were taken in 2009. Going through every photo of the year and picking certain shots is the most tedious part of this [...]
Familiar photo(s)
Greetings new visitors! Since I added a not-so-subtle reference to this blog on our Christmas card photo collage, I’m hoping a few more people check it out. To that end, I guess I should post here regularly over the holidays to keep you wanting more, right? First things first, I thought I’d start out with [...]

Final post of 2007
OK, by the time this gets published it will really be 2008, but I found out you can back-date posts. As far as you’re concerned, this came through on 12/31/2007. So there. Cats like to climb trees
Who knew? How come nobody mentioned that kitties like to climb trees? Oh, and it doesn’t matter if the trees are indoor. Say, a Christmas tree, for example. “Pay no attention to the kitty in the tree.” “If I stay really still, maybe they’ll think I’m just an ornament.”
A Yule log for your iPod
Looking for something for the person on your list who has everything? One possible gift might be the iYule video. It’s a crackling fireplace with soft music playing in the background. Go to dinner, put your iPod/iPhone/Zune on the table next to you and be mesmerized by the flames. Jealous onlookers will want to know [...]

Decorating Christmas cookies
Hannah and Monica (and Clare for a few minutes) spent some time decorating Christmas cut-out cookies on Sunday. I was there for quality control. Every one I tried passed my rigorous QC standards.
